Willow Haven is one of those small towns where everyone knows everyone. And no one knows Adalyn James. She doesn’t want anyone to know her, however. She just wants to keep to herself and make a life for herself.
All of that changes when she gets a job at the local bookstore. It is a small little shop but has tons of charm. The Book Nook carries lots of classics, best sellers, as well as some hard-to-find out-of-print books.
Adalyn begins to become comfortable in her routine of work then home. She begins to let her guard down and that is when strange things begin to happen. Little things at first. Like the feeling of being watched.
What happens next is something she never expected.
Sparrow
Sparrow made her way through the busy halls of Trinity High School. It was the first day of her senior year at a brand-new school. She hated being the new girl, it had happened too many times. Sparrow didn’t even want to leave her last school, but her mom insisted she needed a change after yet another bad breakup. So here she was, walking the halls of another new school, trying to memorize a map of where all her classes were.
“You must be Sparrow Lawson. Find an empty seat,” the teacher told her, not even looking at the slip she gave him. Finding the first empty seat that was close, she sat down trying to ignore the whispers and stares....
